Why Choose An Armageddon Home?
For years we have built countless Custom Homes and Mansions in a variety of building styles including Wood Frame, Sip Panel, Straw Bale, Post and Beam, Rammed Earth, ICF, Solid Concrete and Concrete Sandwich Wall Systems.
A few years ago, clients asked us to crib and frame them a stunning modern style custom home on a mountainside overlooking beautiful Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, Canada. We drove up in the middle of a December snow storm and after surveying the northeast-facing slope surrounded by Ponderosa Pines, urged them to please let us build them a solid concrete or ICF home instead, because we could see a hot summer firestorm racing over the ridge that would leave them with only minutes to escape.
Despite our warnings, they chose wood-frame construction, so they could save some money on structure and spend more on finishes. My crew and I then built them a beautiful industry standard wood frame home. Afterwards they finished the interior of the house off themselves and most probably filled it with precious photos and memories, hosted barbecues with family and friends while enjoying the breathtaking setting and view. Sadly less than 5 years later, we watched the Evening News in horror as their home—along with hundreds of others—was destroyed in a firestorm.
After the fire we drove up the mountain and sat staring at the burned out ruins. We thought about the hard work we put into cribbing and framing it, the huge waste of time, money, and materials. The irreplaceable loss of family memories. The miracle they got out alive. And the agonizing road ahead—battling insurance, government red tape, and deciding whether to rebuild or move on. We have built at least 65 Solid Concrete and ICF Homes and decided at that moment to rebrand and change our focus to building Nature and Criminal Proof Custom Homes and Mansions.

Restoration and Renovations
Heritage Building
